Executive Committee Member
Dr. Deborah Hasin is a member of the Executive Committee for the Columbia University Center for Homelessness Prevention Studies. She is also professor of Clinical Epidemiology at Columbia University in the Mailman School of Public Health and the Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Hasin is a nationally recognized expert in the measurement and epidemiology of alcohol, substance use, and mental illness, and their comorbidity. Dr. Hasin is noted for the development of the PRISM, a research diagnostic tool for psychiatric disorder and substance use comorbidity. She is a prolific author who has received continuous NIH funding since 1990. Her work has influenced thinking and teaching about concepts of alcohol dependence nationally and internationally.
